Douglas specialises in matters relating to agriculture and property in the East Neuk and beyond. His passion for the built heritage of the area has led him to develop a particular interest in matters relating to listed buildings and conservation areas. His practice also involves a great deal of private client work with related inheritance tax planning.
Douglas is Vice Chairman of the Scottish Fisheries Museum - one of Scotland's National Museums - and is a founder member of the Museum Boats Club, which maintains and operates the collection of seaworthy vessels. In his spare time, Douglas restores and drives vintage sports cars and motor cycles and he has been instrumental in the revival of the Bo'ness Hill Climb as an annual event.
