
Ronnie Murphy heads up our litigation department and handles the firm's contentious legal work including family law, employment law and payment actions. He has been practising in St Andrews since 1978.
Ronnie was appointed secretary of the Fife Valuation Appeal Committee by the Sheriff Principal of Tayside Central and Fife, and is the long serving and much appreciated secretary of the St Andrews Business Club. Ronnie conducted the case for the successful defender in Barker and others v Lewis which is now a precedent for interpreting the Title Conditions (Scotland) Act 2003 section 8 (3) (A). Ronnie is also founder and moderator of the Freecycle Fife East website, part of a worldwide recycling movement, where members can post messages on the website describing items they are offering to give away free to another member who wants the item thereby saving on landfill.
